LIFE BEFORE AND AFTER THE CROSS

We are going to be looking at a two part series to show us and make us understand the difference between the old and the new.
The cross of Jesus changed everything as it relates to the manner of life that existed before the death of Jesus. This is the crux of the matter in Christianity that many fail to realize. The difference between Old and New Testament is the cross. “For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins." Matthew‬ ‭26:28‬ ‭KJV

The cross is Satan's greatest nightmare but, mercifully, the believer's advantage. The message of grace is the message that reveals what the cross (the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus) had accomplished for us. “Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. (Hebrews‬ ‭2:14-15‬ KJV)

Satan literally lost everything by reason of the cross, and his hope today is only kindled by the ignorance of believers and mere men. If the message of the cross and its power is hidden, man becomes a victim over again. “But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them." ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭4:3-4‬ ‭KJV. “For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭1:18‬ ‭KJV.

Understanding the difference between life before the cross and after the cross is a fundamental way to reign in life. Otherwise you will live a life that is neither here nor there. Not sure if you have victory or have to fight for victory.

Man has been given Jesus level authority after the cross that was not there before the cross. Before the cross, man's righteousness before God was considered as filthy rags before God. But after the cross, the man who accepts Christ receives the gift of righteousness without works. “But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭4:5-6‬ ‭KJV.

The basis of relationship with God has changed, previously it was based on man's efforts. After the cross, it is based on what Jesus has done. Everything is now based on grace, not our righteousness or performance.

THE CROSS JUDGED ALL SINS ON JESUS ON YOUR BEHALF.
“In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the Lord thy Redeemer. For this is as the waters of Noah unto me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee.” ‭Isaiah‬ ‭54:8-9‬ ‭KJV.

 The death of Jesus shields us from God's wrath and judgment. God is no more angry with you and He will not be angry with you, as He exhausted all His anger on Jesus. Jesus took all the punishment for all your atrocities. “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” 2Corinthians‬ ‭5:21‬ ‭KJV. “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.” John‬ ‭5:24‬ ‭KJV.

The cross was an overpayment for sin. “But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.” Hebrews‬ ‭10:12-14‬ ‭KJV.
It's called 'the unsearchable riches of Christ'.

The cross took care of sin, past, present and future. From the cross, the price for sin travelled back to Adam and forward to eternity end. “For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;” ‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭3:18-19‬ ‭KJV. “And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.” ‭‭1 John‬ ‭2:1-2‬ ‭KJV.

Sin does not stand anywhere between the believer and God, only Jesus stands between man and God. “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;” 1 Timothy‬ ‭2:5‬ ‭KJV.

Take your time to go through this again . I know this is so different from what you hear and read in religious gatherings,thats why we are here to open your eyes to the knowledge of God's grace we continue from here in the second part and final part of this topic .  I call you blessed . . . . . . .

HEALING
This is a supernatural act of getting wholeness from sickness, pains and diseases  by the intervention of the Lord. It's also the process of getting well or sound again by the power of the Lord.  Healing can be physical, spiritual, emotional and mental .  Anything that is contrary to the workings of God in your health and your career requires divine intervention . Families need healing , businesses needs healing . Homes and relationships needs healing and the most common  is the healing of the body .
I want you to understand  that God wants you healed and free from all manner of sicknesses and diseases .


Luke  5:12 And it came to pass, when he was in a certain city, behold a man full of leprosy: who seeing Jesus fell on his face, and besought him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.  5:13 And he put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will: be thou clean. And immediately the leprosy departed from him.

For you to enjoy divine healing firstly you must understand that it's God's will for you to be healed of any thing troubling your life .  And not just that he is ready to make you well again .  The above Bible verse a man came to Jesus  to ask if it was God's will for him to be healed .  So many believers are stuck here not knowing if what they are going through is God's will or the Devils work .  Hear this if it's not Good it's not God and if it's God  it cannot be bad.

James  1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

NOW with that in mind also know that sickness is not  a form of training or testing from God because God does not tempt with evil and sickness is evil .

James  1:13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:

The heart beat of God for us is to be in health and free from sickness in so much so that we will need no healing because we are not sick.  So many Christians are oppressed by the devil and many die prematurely because of the idea that the sickness is a test from God and they suffer all sort of horror in life.  That is a trick from the devil to hold you bound .  I see you coming out of that sickness in the name of Jesus .

John  10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
From this Bible verse we see the three fold ministry of the devil of killing stealing and destruction . He use the elements available to him to cause men to feel comfortable  In pains .
3 John  1:2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

When this mind is in you that affliction is not of God but of the devil you kick sickness out of you life permanently . God never intended nor created any sick . Sickness is the will of the devil . It is the product of the Fall of  man. BUT  JESUS HAS PAID THE PRICE . Now we can boldly draw life from the Lord himself because  he paid for sin and sicknesses .  We are to boldly declare our health our victory our success because of what Jesus did for us .

1 Peter  2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

This verse show us that our healing was perfected in Christ and our healing is a thing of the past all we need to do is proclaim and receive . Everything He suffered he did that for me not just sin alone he ended the rule of sickness over believers . It's not by works of righteousness or by human qualifications but by one and only Jesus are we made whole . The same way you believe he took your sins the same  way a believer must understand he took our diseases  too. To get healed is to tap in by faith and command sickness to go and health to be restored.  I pray for you today in the name of Jesus to be healed from any form of sickness,  disease, pains,  emotional and family crisis in the name of Jesus .

OVERCOMING UNFORGIVENESS

Today am going to be dealing with the issues of unforgiveness in the life of believers how it has rob them of joy, peace and reck  havoc amongst friends and families . 

The act of holding a grudge against an individual who has hurt you intentionally or unintentionally with the mindset I will give a pay back. is what I call unforgiveness . This is like taking a poison and wishing another person dies , it's as bad as that . It's a poison that eats into the core of our hearts and destroy us from within making our lives miserable.  You may have been hurt, betrayed  by a friend or probably gotten your heart broken and the only consolation  you have is to hold unto that hurt.
 when that is the case you are now becoming a problem to your self because  your hate soon turn to bitterness and at this point you can do anything  . Unforgiveness is the a spirit  that robs us of our relationship  with God and man . It opens  the door for tormentors to come into our lives . Do you know?  that malice,  that hatred,  that anger that, bitterness and that grudge are the product of an unforgiving spirit . So let them go and breath new air into your life not this contaminated poison of unforgiveness . 

Matthew  18:23 Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants.  18:24 And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents.  18:25 But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.  18:26 The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.  18:27 Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt.  18:28 But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest.  18:29 And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.  18:30 And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt.  18:31 So when his fellowservants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done.  18:32 Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me:  18:33 Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee?  18:34 And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him.  18:35 So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.

This is a story of true forgiveness from the part of the master and an unforgiveness from the servant . We should as Christians look at our life and know that Christ died for us at our weakest state while we were yet sinners Christ died for us let's learn to forgive people who have done us wrong . When we are able to do that we free our selves from the hold in our heart and we can now live freely and happily . It's hard to let go but it's more dangerous to hold on. When you hold onto a hurt in the past the person who offended may not remember  may have moved on but you are still at that point where the offense was committed . Dearly beloved you cannot hold unto the past and expect a future . Let it go and let God in. The story in the above scripture shows a picture of  the servant with an unforgiveness,who  was given to the tormentors that is exactly what happens when we  refuse to forgive we give room to the tormentor to mess up our lives . 

Ephesians 4:32   And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you .

When we choose to forgive we are helping ourselves get healed of any wound  that may have been there . So forgiveness helps you more than the person you are holding a grudge for . The best way to forgive is by the help of THE HOLY SPIRIT  because by yourself it's too hard to do . Ask him to help you forgive and when  you forgive cancel  the debt own you. This means forgive and forget. all these are possible only by the help of the spirit . 

MAKE A DECISION to let Go decide within you that you will let go. Consciously make up your mind that you will forgive that person you hold in your heart.  and confess boldly that  you are free . Keep  smiling keep believing I know you will over come .

WHO IS A NEW CREATURE  ?
So many times Christians and believers alike use this word without really knowing the deep meaning of who a new creature is .
The Greek word creature is Kris is which means the act of building  , establishing , founding it's also the act of creating, creation. so a believer  in Christ is a creation but is not just another creation but a new one . For something to be new it means it has not existed before,  has no past,  it's  original in it self. So a new creation in Christ is some with a new identity  a new place of origin and a new family this scripture tells us our new placement as new creation

Colossians  1:13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

A new creation is someone with a new placement in the realm of the spirit .
A new creature are a new species of super humans living on earth having the very life of God  living and walking in  them.  they are a people full of the Zoe life and they share this life these people  talk in tongues works  miracles and do wonders by the power of the Holy Spirit in them . A new creation  is some who knows and appreciates and lives in the consciousness that all his sins are forgiven  he is justified he is made righteous sanctified by faith and have an eternal inheritance with the father .
What a life that is ? The knowledge of who you are in Christ is the biggest deliverance you can experience as a believer.

2 Corinthians  5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Take a closer look at the above Bible verse as we analyse who a new creation is . A new creation can be any body any race any color and any tribe but for that person to be a new creation he must BE IN CHRIST .  He must be found in  Christ and to be found in Christ is to be born of the spirit, to be translated from darkness to light . To be in Christ is to be in a place of authority a place of love,  a place of peace, a place of victory these are some of the things a man who is in Christ get by virtue  of his placement . This verse makes us understand that Christ is a place were only new creature are found . Not of works but of faith in Christ finished work and of Christ righteousness
Philippians  3:9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
The man found in Christ is a new creature a new species of man kind this is how God  the Father  now sees us as recreated renew  reborn having God's life God's righteousness God's faith and living in Christ victory we are all seen by the eyes of the fathers love.As new creation not by our national background or race nor color but a new creation in Christ Jesus


Colossians  3:11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.

Christ is everything  the author the finisher the first the last the center of all attractions  as a new creation .

Galatians  6:15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.
And in conclusion there are more to say but having said much we have to understand that a new creation  has a new life and a new  beginning  his past has been washed clean by the blood of  God's son, all the old are past all the consequences of the wrong which he did are wiped clean in Christ  and as far as a new creation is concerned  there is no past. Knowing that something new has no record of a past,  it has not been used because it is new . That's how our lives are changed renew rebirth,  given a clean slate to start afresh all sins are forgiven  . So I encourage you to live in this conscious nature of a free forgiven and righteous son of God.

Colossians  2:13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;  2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

ENJOYING PEACE EVERYDAY
 When we talk about peace and how a believer can enjoy  peace it seems impossible in the eyes of the world . Why? Because the way the world define and explain peace is totally  different  from the peace the Lord gives


"I'm leaving you peace. I'm giving you my peace. I don't give you the kind of peace that the world gives. So don't be troubled or cowardly  John 14:27

The way the world see peace is different, the world see peace as the absence of trouble the absence of war, calmness tranquility and seclusion . These are the outward appearance of peace which does not last for long and which are not guaranteed . The Lord in the above scripture is saying I give you my peace!
WHAT IS THE PEACE THE LORD GIVES ?  This peace is an inner assurance of victory  of success and of comfort  in all ways of life and in every circumstances .  This peace is not the absence  of trouble  but it is calmness and assurances in the face of trouble . Because of this peace we don't act cowardly or troubled . This peace in internal manifested externally . This peace runs from your spirit  and calm your life all way round .  This peace is deeply  rooted in your spirit .  When trouble and trials and war are ranging in your very front you are not troubled why?  because of the peace of the Lord within  you.  Wow! ! !

Colossians 3:15

 Let the peace of Christ be in control in your heart (for you were in fact called as one body to this peace), and be thankful.

Let that peace of Christ let it Rule your heart guide  your heart from negative occurrences around you. This peace control your heart the way you act the way you react and the way you talk. you need to consciously allow it flow . You have been called into peace where you are now currently sitted in Christ is a place of peace this is our calling a call to peace.  to be peace and to radiate peace all over our lives, our family our environment our community our church and any place we find our selves   let's be the  peace .

And the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in ChristAnd the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus Jesus 
philippians 4:7

This is why people don't understand a believer  who is facing challenges but not moved why because the peace the Lord gives no human can understand  it. You may be going through  a tough time in your life right now but you are not worried or anxious why?  There is a peace at work within you . One of the fruits the Holy Spirit produces in a believer is peace . For the fruit of the spirit peace is one of them . The spirit works within us giving peace and assurances in all ways of life .

Since we have been blessed with peace let's learn and strive to be at peace with our selves with our past with our present let go of the wrong let go of the mistakes let go of the hurts and betrays and enjoy peace with both friends and foes let's be at peace with all around us as much as we can .

17 Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. 

18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. 

19 Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord. 

20 On the contrary: “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.” 

21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Be the peace the world need  . Don't be anxious for anything. Don't allow the present circumstances of situations around you steal your peace. Don't allow your lack for money, job,  and family  steal your peace. for Christ has bear all your burden he has provided all your needs and want. nothing you ever need that God in Christ  has not made available  so dear children of God  take advantage of the ever flowing river of continuous provision and live happily .  Never trust in a man or in the abilities of the flesh let your hope be on Christ and His promises of peace .

THE GOD KIND OF LOVE 
there are many misconception about love but the purest and truest of all is the God kind of love . This love is born out of the very nature of God . The very NATURE OF GOD IS LOVE .

1 John 4:8   He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

What ever the Lord do its from his nature that he does them and this very nature was impacted into us at new birth so we have God's nature because we are born of God.

Romans  5:5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

As Christians in our daily life we are to show and manifest the nature which distinguishes us to the world . The spirit of God working within us bearing fruits producing life changing abilities .

John  13:35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

We are shown to the world as God's life carriers not by any other thing but by the simple demonstration of love in our daily life . We demonstrate this love life by following the example of the father

John  3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

This love is practical it's a life style it's not seasonal it's not a pretence when you say it show it by your actions this kind of love is an ACTION kind this actions are always positive derived from the word  of God  and nourish by the word of God
  let's love the God  way .

1 John  3:18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.

When we love the way God loves we demonstrate it by the actions of giving.  We give our time to a profitable cause we give our money we give our Talent we lend help to the helpless and we raise the down casted. this kind of love is committed  is dedicated is not selfish does not hurt others and this love of God  is UNCONDITIONAL we love not because the people we love can love us back we give not because they can give us back we care despite the wrong and short comings of those we have loved

Romans  5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

The Lord loves us even in our deepest mess he died for us not for a perfect people nor a righteous people but yet he died . Why because His love is not based on our performance but on his Nature. When we fumble He still loves us good or bad.

1 John 4:20   If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

The best way we show God's love is by our day to relationship with our friends our family with colleagues with wife or husband, neighbors friends and foes Christ even admonish us to love our enemies  it's our nature.  hatred and malicious life style cannot survive around this love life . I pray you keep enjoying this awesome love life from the heart of the father .

 JESUS IS ENOUGH

I will like to use this opportunity to admonish the believer whose faith and hope is on Jesus to continue to grow in the love of Christ which surpasses all human understanding. A whole lot of Christian today have their faith and gaze on the wrong person or wrong idea.

We must focus on Jesus, the source and goal of our faith. He saw the joy ahead of him, so he endured death on the cross and ignored the disgrace it brought him. Then he received the highest position in heaven, the one next to the throne of God Hebrew 12:2

We are admonish as believers to focus on Jesus he is the source,  the originator, the author of our faith . We are to have our eyes on him and him alone.  But the church today we are looking at men we are hoping our pastor would speak we are hoping our prophet will see we are hoping our bishop will decree and our lives become tied to men . As much as we have to follow men of God they should not be the ones who decides our faith by actions or by words.  Lots of Christian know their pastor more than they know Christ. Your denomination is not the source of your salvation  so stop I mean stop the churchy Christianity and enjoy the life Jesus produces.  You have to understand what we have is not a religion with certain rules and ordinance but a life generating  from the the very Lord himself .
 It was Christ who suffered and paid for your sins  and not your denomination nor your pastors.  The pastor can be use to instruct and restore but your life should not depend  on a man.

Hebrews  12:3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

You should rely heavily and absolutely on Jesus on his finish work for you.  Jesus is enough sacrifice  for sin you don't have to add any human effort to a perfect sacrifice what you need to do is simply believe in the finished work on the cross . Jesus is enough for your sanctification . Jesus is enough for you in financial needs , in marriage in education in business in every area of your life Jesus is enough .

Hebrews  13:6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

Hebrew   13:9 Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.

The best thing that can happen to you is a personal knowledge of Christ ministered to you by the help of the Holy Spirit  . He will show you the true nature of God which is love and righteousness  .  Keep your mind fixed on Christ have a desire to know him and He shall be real to you. Any area in your life that things are not working  I want you to know your answer are not in a man but in Christ Jesus who is the author and finisher of your faith stay on him and your dreams will come to pass . Finally I say this you don't add God to things you do because God is not an add on but rather you add the things you do to God because He is everything  . Let your mind be established in grace . So at the end no man takes the glory of what God has done in your life JESUS IS ENOUGH FOR ME
